Definitely getting off the main hwy to go back in time for a very tasty burger and more. Our burgers were seasoned perfectly and juicy. And the nachos made a great snack. Todd the owner was so friendly and served us our meals. Would love to go back when they finish remodeling the restaurant but until then the food truck is great.

Great stop on our way to White Sands from home! We visited on 3/23/25. Such a cute little diner, everything was delicious and just what we needed to get some energy to get back on the road again. 100% will be back!

The woman serving us was very nice and checked in on us often, even offered us some more coffee with the brewer in hand. Food was good, not my taste as an Asian but definitely would recommend for anyone wanting some traditional/classic American breakfast- eggs/omelet and toast with bacon. Bunch of beverage options too and some nice dessert. I tried the coconut meringue but it was alright, for some reason I was expecting it to be more crunchy/harder like traditional baked meringue but I should've known better. Overall pretty cheap for a new yorker and definitely seems like authentic New Mexican style- esp with the atmosphere. Also some souvenirs you can buy at the store.

This place is fun and funky. Love the atmosphere. The food and service were top notch. Samantha was our server and did a phenomenal job. The Mountain Taters reminded me of a favorite dish I'd get from a long-closed restaurant in my home town. The homemade carrot cake and the lemon berry cake are delicious! Definitely stop in and get your "Kix on Rt 66".

A small town cafe with good home cooking. We had breakfast. I had eggs and sausage. It’s homemade and may be the best I’ve had! My wife liked the breakfast burrito. The town is pretty quiet so it’s a nice spot to stop for night

What I ordered: Chicken Fried Steak Taste: Slightly better than plain, not overly flavorful Service: Staff was uber friendly and attentive Atmosphere: Small town diner that is Route 66 themed and has a great view of the historic road Value: the price for the portion size you get was a little disappointing but I still would recommend this place Highlights: • great view of Route 66 and good people watching Would I come back? YES Perfect for dinner if you are passing through and want to see a town not from I40

Diners are my favorite restaurant hang outs. It’s where the locals hang, the food is home cooked, the staff of locals add the right amount of color to an already colorful style of restaurant. Breakfast is my favorite meal, and the diner is the perfect place to get that tummy filled. I’ve been driving across the US for a month and stopping at any diner that is in the vicinity of my nights stay. Well this diner was not in my area but we were driving past it about an hour up the road. And it was well worth the house drive. Kix on 66 is a piece of historic RT 66 nostalgia. With everything in the diner giving you a place back in time. Even the counter chairs are from the 50’s it seems. We came in around 10:30 and the place had a few tables full and a few locals at the bar. While we were waiting for our order to come out, a few local law enforcement came in to eat. Now you know that if the local law officers eat there, it’s got to be good. I ordered the French Toast platter with scrambled eggs and crispy bacon, and it came out to perfect, the table also had the “Running Burrito” again it was delicious. We also ordered 2 iced espresso drinks, which were large, cold and tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We picked up a lapel pin that was their logo Kix66, they also have mugs and other RT66 souvenirs. Driving historic RT66 / I40, take a breakfast break at this diner, you will feel right at home, and back in time. You’ll get your Kix on 66

Our tour group of 45 wanted to eat at an authentic Route 66 diner and Kix On 66 did not disappoint!! My husband and I sat at the counter and observed how efficient the kitchen staff was in cooking all of our meals! The waitresses were HOPPING and did an awesome job of taking orders and serving the right ones to each customer. Our pancake platter, with two eggs to order and two strips of bacon, were delicious and more than ample. We loved the genuine atmosphere and roadside sign, as well as the mural painted on the outside wall. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!
